Modifying the list of messages and notifications generated

Postby TechSupport » Sun Sep 19, 2004 1:38 am

The following is a response to recent enquires about modifying the number
of notifications generated by Phoenix for a form or a control.

Phoenix is capable of generating code for all the standard Windows messages, all the
notifications for a built-in control, and any custom message you may wish to construct
(registered or otherwise). By default, only the most commonly used notifications are
generated. To modify the list:

  1. Select the control.
  2. Select the WindowClass property in the lower section of the Property Inspector.
  3. Click the ellipsis button to display the editor associated with the property.

Built-in control
Select the Predefined Events tab to add(check) or remove(uncheck) control notifications.

Third-party control
Select the Custom Styles/Custom Messages tab to add(check) or remove(uncheck) control notifications.

To add or remove standard Windows messages for a control, the control must first be
subclassed or superclassed via the Class Attributes page.
