Clipboard management
  • phnxGetClipboardText Retrieves text from the clipboard.
  • phnxIsClipboardFormatAvailable Determines whether the clipboard contains data in the specified format.
  • phnxSetClipboardText Places text on the clipboard.
Controls and common dialogs
  • File dialogs
    • phnxGetOpenFileName Displays the open file dialog. If multiple files are selected, the names are stored as a series of null-terminated substrings. The last substring is terminated with two nulls.
    • phnxGetSaveFileName Displays the save file dialog.
  • Treeview control
    • phnxCheckTreeviewItem Checks or unchecks an item in a treeview with the TVS_CHECKBOXES style.
    • phnxIsTreeviewItemChecked Determines whether or not an item in a treeview with the TVS_CHECKBOXES STYLE is checked.
File management
  • phnxGetExeName Retrieves the name of the calling process.
  • phnxGetExePath Retrieves the path to the calling process.
  • phnxGetFileVersion Returns the version of the specified file.
Painting and drawing
  • phnxDrawBitmap Draws a bitmap. If the handle of a valid brush is passed, the bitmap is drawn transparently.
  • phnxCreateFont Creates a logical font.
  • phnxLoadMetaFileResource Loads a Windows metafile (wmf, emf or apm) from a resource.
System services
  • phnxGetInstalledPrinters Retrieves the names of the installed printers. The names are stored as a series of null-terminated substrings in the returned string. The last substring is terminated with two nulls.
  • phnxGetSystemErrorString Converts a system-defined error code into a string.
  • phnxGoToURL Launches the default browser and navigates to the specified URL.
Window management
  • phnxAdjustWindowRect Adjusts the bounding rectangle of a nonresizeable window, based on the desired size of the client area.
  • phnxCenterWindow Centers one window over another. It also ensures that the placement is within the 'working area' of the reference window.
  • phnxCloseForm Closes the specified form, or the form the reference control is on.
  • phnxEnableAppWindows Disables or enables all windows in an application when a modal window is created or destroyed.
  • phnxGetControlHandle Returns the handle of the control with the specified identifier.
  • phnxGetFormHandle Finds the handle of the top-level window or MDI child window that is the ancestor of the specified window.
  • phnxGetTopLevelWindow Finds the handle of the top-level window that is the ancestor of the specified window.
