Include files disappearing

Postby Martin Foster » Sun Jun 09, 2013 7:16 am

Project -> Settings -> Code Generation -> Includes

[1] I add a single source file to include in my project, click "OK" and then click "Finish"
[2] Click the "Build and Execute" icon
[3] Exit my running application
[4] Look at the auto-generated code and my source file has been included
[5] Exit Phoenix
[6] Re-start Phoenix
[7] Go to "Step 2"
[8] Go to "Step 3"
[9] Look at the auto-generated code and my source file has not been included
[10] Have a look at the list of included files in the project settings and there's nothing listed

This problem is due to an error in the size of the xml file left to scan when a tag is skipped
because its level is wrong. This has been fixed in the next update.

The historical disconnect between the Includes dialog and the Phoenix Explorer will be addressed.

I deferred fixing this, because this one requires careful consideration.

In the meantime, you can add the #include metastatement manually
before or after the >>PHNX_BEGIN_WINAPI/>>PHNX_END_WINAPI block.
It is usually added after this block.
Also, you can optionally add the file to the project via the "Add Existing File(s)"
command.
